Adaptable style: clean line, flat colour, traditional textures, vector. Style is chosen by the project, not by trend.
Working process
1. Brief — we understand piece, message, audience, tone. 2. Sketches — 2-3 proposals on pencil or iPad to pick direction. 3. Refinement — of the chosen sketch, down to detail. 4. Colour and finish — palette, textures, brand integration if relevant. 5. Delivery — final files in every needed format + editables. Feedback rounds included in each phase. No surprises.
What well-made illustration is for
Differentiation when a photo doesn't carry what you want. Explaining abstract concepts (finance, tech, health) without falling into flat metaphors. Giving personality to a small brand without photo budget. Editorial pieces with their own voice. Campaigns that need to stand out among conventional photo-based pieces.
Original vs stock library
Pulling from stock is fast and cheap — and it shows. Every brand of a certain level eventually invests in custom illustration because competitors are using the same stock images. Custom illustration is a unique piece that only appears in your brand, adding character instead of diluting it.

How much does an illustration cost?
It depends on usage, complexity and rights. A simple editorial illustration starts at €150-300. A piece for campaign, packaging or brand with broad rights, from €500-1500. Series of related illustrations, volume discount. Free first call to scope it.
How long does an illustration take?
An individual simple piece, 3 to 7 days from brief. A complex piece with several rounds, 2-3 weeks. Series, depends on volume (typically 3-6 weeks for 5-10 pieces). If you need rush, say so upfront and we'll see if it fits.
What usage rights do you grant?
By default: exclusive use in the agreed medium (web, print, social, etc.) for unlimited time. If you need global cross-media use or full rights transfer, we agree it upfront and the price scales. I keep the right to show the piece in portfolio unless otherwise agreed.
Can you adapt to a specific style?
Yes, within reason. Every illustrator has a stylistic range — mine sits between clean line, flat colour, traditional textures and vector. If you need exact imitation of another illustrator, I'd recommend contacting them. If you want a stylistic direction, that we work together.
Do you do traditional or only digital?
Both. Much of the work starts on paper (pencil, watercolour, ink) and is digitised afterwards. I also work native digital in Procreate, Illustrator and Photoshop. The medium is chosen by the result, not preference.
Do you take one-off projects or only retainers?
Both. One-off projects (a cover illustration, poster, label) are common. Monthly retainers for clients with regular flow (magazines, brands publishing editorial content) too, with reserved monthly hours.
